Oxygen is a vital component of our atmosphere and essential for life on earth. In industry, oxygen is used for applications such as steel manufacturing, refineries, power stations, and in the chemical and food sectors. However, oxygen also presents a fire hazard in industrial applications as the colourless and odourless gas reduces the ignition temperature of many materials and promotes the outbreak of fires. Even at small percentages of oxygen above the atmospheric level of 21 %, the risk drastically increases.

All industrial valve parts that come in contact with oxygen are produced without oils or grease. The individual components of ARI® valves are also carefully cleaned, assembled, tested and packed in film. All the sealing materials also feature BAM approval for oxygen.
