Power plants

Power plants generate electricity and in some cases also thermal energy. Several very different types of power plant exist. The most common – and best-known – are plants for fossil fuels (lignite, coal, gas, oil). Since these fuels are finite resources, the share of renewable energy, for example from the sun, water and wind, and renewable raw materials is rapidly expanding. The German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) has already been adapted by many countries around the world.

ARI has been a reliable partner for valves used in power plants for several decades. These valves are ideal wherever control, isolation, safety or steam trapping functions have to be implemented for a wide variety of fluids such as cooling water, steam, condensate or gas. ARI products are particularly in demand in the following power plant sections and applications:

  • Cooling water cycles
  • Low-pressure steam systems
  • Condensate systems
  • Feed water systems
  • Steam boilers
  • Condensers
  • Medium-pressure steam systems

etc.

ARI offers a broad array of components and systems that are optimised for this kind of process, e.g.:

  • Control valves
  • Globe valves
  • Pneumatic stop valves
  • Soft sealed butterfly valves
  • Metal sealed butterfly valves
  • Safety valves
  • Steam traps
  • Strainers
  • Pressure reducing valves
  • Pressure regulating valves
  • Pressure reducing stations

etc.

ARI has a long and proven track record of experience in many different power plants, both in Germany and worldwide. With our comprehensive product portfolio we are an attractive partner for this application whenever constructive collaboration is called for to meet ever stricter power generation efficiency requirements and tackle the new challenges associated with sustainability as well as climate and environmental technologies.
