Regional Sales Manager

ARI Armaturen UK Ltd. is a subsidiary of a large German engineering company specialising in pipeline equipment for steam, hot water, thermal oil systems. We produce an extensive range of equipment, including:

  • Isolation Valves (Bellows Sealed, packed gland and butterfly valves)   
  • Check valves & strainers  
  • Balancing valves  
  • Heat exchange packages     
  • Control valves with pneumatic & electric actuators
  • Pressure reducing & safety valves
  • Steam trap
  • Condensate Recovery Units

Qualifications:

An engineering qualification would be a benefit, although previous relevant sales and technical experience is equally important


Role:

Join a multi-disciplined team at a leading international engineering company. This is a key role for an experienced, goal-driven sales manager with at least 5 years broad sales and engineering experience. The successful candidate is likely to have had previous experience with sales of fluid controls and systems, and will be able to demonstrate project management skills.


Your duties will include:

  • Taking full responsibility for prospecting, quotation, sales and completion of contracts, profitably, in the designated territory
  • Agreeing and authoring specifications with clients leading to quotations and tendering
  • Defining the territory goals and developing plans
  • Managing resources to deliver on time including liaising with customers and suppliers
  • Reporting progress against the plan both verbally and in writing

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Outstanding sales skills: you will be picking up a highly profitable sales territory and will be expected to maintain existing customers as well as develop new ones to meet demanding sales and profitability targets
  • Excellent communication and people skills: able to work with people internally and externally to get things done
  • Project management skills: we pride ourselves on the number of major projects we undertake, the chosen candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right equipment arrives in the right place at the right time
  • Computer skills: we run a sophisticated enterprise resource planning system & CRM system
  • Strong analysis skills supported by excellent standards of written and spoken English
  • An understanding of different business systems together with an awareness of development technologies and techniques, particularly database-driven systems

Training:

A comprehensive training programme which includes products, applications, and computers systems will be provided by ARI-Armaturen UK and our headquarter in Germany.
